Finding your inspiration again

Finding your inspiration can be difficult. Especially once you’re out of school and working full time. It’s easy for your everyday routine to cloud your creativity. Even I find myself losing track of what inspires me the most. But along the way, I’ve learned a few tricks to keep me motivated. So whenever I start feeling lost, I know that I can always find my way back.

It’s the little things in life.
Sometimes, all you need is a small change to get you going. Try rearranging your room or watching a new TV show. Try a new restaurant or walk a different way home. You’d be surprised at how changing the little things can have a big impact on how you see the world.

Remember the end goal.
What are you trying to do with your life? And how are the steps you’re taking now going to get you there? Replay these questions in your head every day. Remind yourself why you started and why you should stay inspired.

Get a hobby.
Find something you really like to do and stick with it. Spending time with yourself is a great opportunity to discover what all you have to offer. Knowing your worth is a great way to boost both your self-confidence and your motivation.

Travel the world around you.
Take some time to visit new places. Changing your scenery is always a good idea for sparking inspiration. P.S. Travel doesn’t just mean leaving your state or leaving the country. It could mean visiting a small town 3 hours away. It could even mean taking a trip around your hometown — visiting a new side of the city that you haven’t explored yet. Where do you plan to travel to next?

Forget the stress.
Stress is such a mood killer. Be diligent about removing stressful things from your life (including people). Give yourself time to relax. Try yoga or heavy meditation. Clear your mind, so that you can fill it with your dreams and other creative ideas.

Take the time to understand that inspiration can come in many forms. Be open-minded and allow your dreams to carry you on your journey. Are there any other ways you find inspiration? Leave them in the comment section below!
